For the last 4 years BioAfrica has been working closely with Dr Rui Krause from the University of Johannesburg. Research into chamomile, marjoram and yarrow essential oils are proving to increase quality and yields.
Gas chromatograph results of our essential oils are also checked by Dr Krause and his team.
BioAfrica has produced a 1 ton microwave oven to extract essential oils. The research was helped by Dr Krause and with out his input and advice the units would not have been able to work as efficiently as they have.
BioAfrica works with a team researchers but our farmers all contribute to aid in this research by sharing their own experiences and results of trials on their farms.
